Malton Food Lover’s Festival has just announced the details of the exciting line up of cooking demonstrations taking place over the weekend of Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May 2013.
In a change of venue from previous years, the Milton Rooms will play host to a line up of top chefs with the much loved Italian and Festival Patron, Antonio Carluccio opening the proceedings on both Saturday and Sunday. Antonio will be joined by fellow patrons Tom Parker- Bowles, Andrew Pern of The Star at Harome and James Mackenzie who will be bringing to life the cooking skills that earned him the first and only Michelin star in East Yorkshire.
There is a strong Yorkshire flavour to the line-up; alongside Andrew and James, the Festival welcomes Rob Green of Green’s of Whitby, Rob Porter from the Green Room Scarborough, the Betty’s team from Harrogate and Yorkshire farmer’s daughter Steph Moon who will all take to the stage across the weekend.
Even closer to home, the Mayor of Malton will again be cooking with the Mayor of Norton in the third of their ‘Cook Off’ contests; having each been successful on one previous occasion, this year marks the final contest and the crowning of our Champion Mayor.
New to the Festival for 2013 are the dynamic duo of Michael O’Hare and James Wregleworth from Blind Swine in York. Their off the wall dishes and cocktails have been creating a ‘wow’ with diners in Swinegate, York –come along and see for yourself how to create the likes of a meringue and chocolate burger !
