Rob Porter, chef proprietor of The Green Room Restaurant, has attended many food festivals, including the Ryedale Food and Drink Festival, Bridlington Food Festival and York Food Festival. Closer to home, and to his roots, Scarborough’s SeaFest 2009 was the latest event at which he demonstrated his culinary skills. SeaFest is one of the highlights of Scarborough’s festival calendar, this year celebrating its tenth anniversary. The event included live music, exhibitions, visiting ships and of course, the all-important cookery marquee. Rob’s appearance on the second day of the festival attracted a large audience, and he is a natural and ‘seasoned’ performer! Rob prepared a variety of dishes along with assistant Frazer Allen, and was watched by Rob’s parents, Linda and Gordon.
